ABOUT
Hi! I’m Polly Offutt of Birdie & Bean Interiors. Since I was little I knew I wanted to be an Interior Designer. At Washington & Lee University, where I received my BA in Art History, the years I spent learning about the great artists and movements from the past just fueled my desire to work in design. Afterwards, I received my Masters in Interior Design from George Washington University.
I started my design career working in Baltimore, MD for an icon of the Interior Design world. I value the years I spent working with her and the wonderful team of experienced designers in that office. They set the standard for the quality of designer I always strive to be.
I opened Birdie & Bean (named after nicknames for our first Pembroke Corgi & first born daughter) in 2013 with the goal of making interior design services more accessible as well as less daunting & stressful. From single design consultations to the full-service design experience, I love creating the space of my client’s dreams, whatever the budget.
In the past 15 years I’ve worked on hotels, restaurants, private clubs, retail spaces, offices, and of course, homes. In each project the goal is to let the personality of the owners/business and the building itself speak through the design. I am proud to be an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
When I am not working to create my clients’ space of their dreams, I spend my time with husband, daughters, corgis, & chickens and working as a Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor in Annapolis, MD.
